FAQs
Are these boots suitable for indoor soccer?
No, the Nike Mercurial Superfly 9 Academy TF is designed specifically for artificial turf. For indoor courts, a different type of shoe with a non-marking rubber sole is recommended.
How does the Air Zoom unit enhance performance?
The Air Zoom unit is a pressurized air pocket that provides responsive cushioning, returning energy with each step to give you an explosive feel during acceleration and quick movements.
What is the benefit of the NikeSkin upper?
The NikeSkin upper is a thin, flexible material that wraps the foot closely, providing a barefoot-like touch for superior ball control and feel.
How should I clean the pastel pink colorway?
Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive water to maintain the color and material integrity. Always air dry.
What is the main advantage of the speed cage?
The speed cage is an internal support structure that locks your foot down, providing enhanced stability and preventing unwanted movement within the boot during dynamic play.
Will these boots work on a very old, worn artificial turf pitch?
While the TF outsole is designed for artificial turf, performance may vary on heavily worn or uneven surfaces. The grip is optimized for standard artificial turf conditions.
Troubleshooting
Boots feel too tight or cause discomfort
Wear the boots for short periods during non-playing activities to allow them to mold to your feet. Consider using slightly thinner socks if the fit is borderline.
Traction is poor on the turf
Ensure the turf surface is clean and dry. Check the TF studs for excessive wear; if worn, replacement may be necessary. Ensure the boots are designed for your specific turf type.
Dirt is difficult to remove
Use a soft-bristled brush and lukewarm water. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used sparingly, followed by thorough rinsing with a damp cloth. Always allow to air dry.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup: These football boots are ready to wear straight out of the box. Ensure they fit snugly but comfortably before your first use.
Compatibility: The Mercurial Superfly 9 Academy TF is specifically designed for use on *artificial turf* (TF) surfaces. It is not recommended for use on natural grass, indoor courts, or hard ground, as this can affect performance and potentially damage the outsole.
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove excess dirt and mud with a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid using harsh detergents or soaking the boots in water.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources such as radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using a shoe bag can help protect them.
