Product Information

Full details

Designed for individuals seeking a high-pigment, velvet-finish lip color that does not compromise on hydration, the Westman Atelier Lip Suede Matte Lipstick delivers professional-grade results for both everyday wear and bold occasions. Infused with Hydro Suede Technology, it combines the plumping benefits of hyaluronic acid with the nourishing properties of meadowfoam seed oil to ensure a smooth, long-lasting application. While the formula provides exceptional comfort, users should note that the intensely pigmented matte finish requires precise application to avoid potential feathering around the lip line.

FAQs

Is this lipstick suitable for sensitive skin?

While generally well-tolerated, it contains natural extracts and a vanilla scent, so we recommend a patch test if you have specific fragrance sensitivities.

Does it contain lead or parabens?

Westman Atelier products are formulated to be clean; please refer to the specific ingredient list on the packaging for a full list of excluded substances.

Can I layer this over other lip products?

Yes, but it works best when applied to dry, bare skin. Layering over heavy oils may impact the long-wear, matte finish.

How do I remove the lipstick?

Because of its long-lasting pigment, it is best removed with an oil-based makeup remover or a gentle cleansing balm.

Does the formula dry out the lips?

No, it is specifically infused with hyaluronic acid and meadowfoam seed oil to provide hydration throughout the wear time.

Troubleshooting

Color appears uneven on dry lips

Gently exfoliate the lips with a damp washcloth or sugar scrub before application to remove dead skin cells.

The lipstick feels too soft in warm weather

Place the product in a cool area for 10-15 minutes to allow the natural waxes to firm up before use.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-impact, saturated pigment payoff
Non-drying matte formula with moisturizing ingredients
Weightless, velvet-like application feel
Long-lasting wear without feathering
Elegant packaging design

Cons

May require a lip liner for ultra-precise definition
Matte finish highlights natural lip texture
Limited to a specific range of sophisticated tones

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the best performance, apply the lipstick to clean, exfoliated lips. If your lips are exceptionally dry, wait a few minutes after applying a lip balm before layering the Lip Suede Matte over it to ensure the kaolin clay can grip properly. Because this is a high-pigment product, it is compatible with most standard lip liners, though its unique anti-feathering formula often makes a liner optional. When storing, keep the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the moisturizing oils. To keep the embossed heart detail intact, always retract the bullet fully before replacing the cap.
