FAQs

Is Davines Minu Shampoo suitable for all hair colors?

Yes, it is designed to protect and enhance all types of artificial hair color, from subtle highlights to vibrant fashion shades.

How often should I use Davines Minu Shampoo?

You can use it as your regular shampoo whenever you wash your hair to continuously protect your color.

Can I use this shampoo on natural, uncolored hair?

While it will gently cleanse natural hair, it is specifically formulated with color-treated hair benefits in mind. For uncolored hair, other Davines lines might be more suitable.

What does 'chelating' mean in the context of this shampoo?

Chelating means the shampoo has properties that bind to and remove mineral deposits and residues (like those found in hard water) that can dull hair color and affect shine.

How long can I expect my color to last with this shampoo?

When used as part of the full MINU routine, you can expect color intensity to be prolonged for up to 4 weeks.

Does this shampoo contain sulfates?

Davines Minu Shampoo is formulated without sulfates, making it gentler on color-treated hair.

Where is the caper blossom extract sourced from?

The caper blossom extract is sourced from Salina Island, Italy, and is rich in polyphenols for hair nourishment.

Troubleshooting

Hair feels dry after washing

Ensure you are using an adequate amount of conditioner from the MINU line and rinsing thoroughly. If dryness persists, consider adding the MINU hair serum.

Color doesn't seem as vibrant after a few washes

Make sure you are using the full MINU routine (shampoo, conditioner, and potentially serum). Check water temperature; very hot water can strip color faster.

Product doesn't lather well

Ensure hair is fully saturated with water before applying shampoo. You may need slightly more product for very thick or long hair. A second gentle lather can sometimes be more effective.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Significantly prolongs color vibrancy and shine.
  • Gently cleanses without stripping color.
  • Protects hair from environmental damage that causes fading.
  • Leaves hair feeling soft and smooth.
  • Effective at removing hard water mineral buildup.

Cons

  • Best results achieved with the full MINU product routine.
  • May be a higher price point compared to standard shampoos.
  • Scent profile might not appeal to everyone.
  • Not specifically formulated for untreated hair concerns like dandruff or extreme dryness.
