Full details
The Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 is a high-performance trainer engineered for neutral runners who prioritize speed, responsiveness, and a smooth ride during intense workouts or race days. Featuring a redesigned winged nylon plate and PWRRUN PB cushioning, this shoe offers an excellent balance of energy return and torsional stability. While its lightweight construction excels on asphalt, runners should note that the specialized plate architecture is optimized specifically for road performance rather than technical trail terrain.

FAQs
Is the Endorphin Speed 5 suitable for trail running?
No, it is specifically designed for asphalt and paved road surfaces.
What is the weight of the shoe?
The shoe weighs 238g, making it a lightweight option for speed work.
What is the drop on this model?
The Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 features an 8mm heel-to-toe drop.
Are these shoes stable for overpronation?
This model is designed for neutral runners. If you require significant stability or motion control, consult with a professional gait analyst.
How should I clean the floral print upper?
Use a soft brush and a damp cloth with mild soap; avoid harsh chemicals to preserve the print quality.
Troubleshooting
Upper material appears slightly loose after long runs
Ensure the laces are tensioned properly throughout the eyelets, using the top lockdown eyelet if additional heel security is needed.
Feeling of decreased responsiveness
Allow the PWRRUN PB foam at least 24 hours between long runs to fully recover and regain its structural density.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Endorphin Speed 5s, follow these guidelines:
- Break-in Period: While ready out of the box, perform 2-3 short runs to allow the foam to adapt to your foot strike.
- Surface Compatibility: This shoe is optimized for asphalt and concrete. Avoid gravel, mud, or rocky terrain to prevent premature wear of the outsole and potential debris damage.
- Cleaning: Wipe the nylon upper with a damp cloth and mild soap. Never submerge the shoes in water or place them in a washing machine, as this can degrade the foam density and adhesive bonds.
- Air Drying: Always air-dry in a cool, shaded area. Direct sunlight and heat sources like radiators can cause the upper materials to warp or the cushioning to lose its elasticity.
