Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Use
Your EverAU Australia Ashy Boots are ready to wear right out of the box. While sheepskin is naturally soft, a short 'break-in' period may help them mold perfectly to your feet. Wear them around the house for a few hours initially to ensure maximum comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are highly versatile. They pair well with:
- Casual Attire: Jeans, leggings, sweatpants, and cozy sweaters.
- Dresses & Skirts: Can be worn with knee-length or longer skirts and dresses for a warm, stylish look.
- Weather: Best suited for dry, cold to moderately cold conditions. While the TPR sole offers grip, the sheepskin is not designed for heavy rain or deep snow.
Care Instructions
Proper care is crucial for maintaining the beauty and longevity of your sheepskin boots.
- Protection: Before first wear, and periodically thereafter, apply a quality sheepskin water and stain repellent spray. This creates a protective barrier against moisture and dirt.
- Cleaning:
- Spot Cleaning: For small stains, gently dab the area with a damp cloth (cold water only) and a small amount of specialized sheepskin cleaner. Avoid rubbing vigorously.
- Full Cleaning: If a deeper clean is needed, use a sheepskin cleaning kit following the product's instructions. Always use cold water.
- Drying: Never place sheepskin boots in direct sunlight or near direct heat sources (e.g., radiator, hairdryer). Allow them to air dry naturally in a cool, well-ventilated area. Stuff them with paper towels to help maintain their shape during drying.
- Brushing: Once dry, gently brush the suede exterior with a soft suede brush to restore the nap.
- Storage: When not in use, store your boots upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot shapers to prevent creasing.
