Product Information

Full details

The Levi's Ribcage Wide Leg Jeans are an ideal choice for adults looking to elevate their everyday wardrobe with a timeless, high-rise silhouette that balances a slim-fitting hip and thigh with a dramatic wide-leg cut. These jeans are celebrated for their waist-defining and leg-lengthening design, making them a versatile staple for both casual outings and elevated evening looks; however, users should be aware that the rigid 100% cotton-blend construction feels very tight initially and will require a break-in period to reach a comfortable fit.

FAQs

Do these jeans have any stretch?

These are made from 95% cotton and 5% recycled cotton, making them a rigid denim. They do not contain spandex or elastane, so they provide a traditional, structured fit.

Why is there different branding on the red tab?

Levi's uses various red tabs, including those without lettering. This is standard for the brand and signifies an original, authentic Levi's product.

Will these jeans shrink after washing?

As with most cotton garments, they may experience minor shrinkage if washed in hot water or tumble dried on high heat. We recommend cold washing and air drying.

Are these suitable for all body types?

The Ribcage line is designed to be waist-defining and leg-lengthening, but because it is a rigid fabric, the fit experience varies by individual. Trying on different sizes is recommended.

Can I use a belt with these?

Yes, the jeans are equipped with belt loops specifically designed to accommodate standard belt widths for styling purposes.

Troubleshooting

The jeans feel too tight upon first wear

This is expected with rigid cotton denim. Wear them around the house for short periods to allow the fibers to relax and conform to your body.

The waistband is slightly loose after multiple wears

Since rigid denim does not snap back like stretch fabric, ensure you are washing in cold water and air drying to avoid loosening the fit further.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Waist-defining and leg-lengthening aesthetic
High-quality, durable cotton construction
Versatile design suitable for casual and dressy occasions
Features authentic Levi's craftsmanship and detailing

Cons

Very tight initial fit that requires breaking in
Rigid denim does not stretch back once worn
Limited stretch compared to modern elastane-heavy jeans

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your jeans maintain their fit and finish, follow these guidelines:

Sizing: Be prepared for the 'rigid' fit. If you prefer a slightly looser feel immediately, you might consider trying on different sizes to find your preference for initial tightness.
Washing: Machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle to preserve the denim fibers. Always refer to the internal care label for specific instructions.
Drying: Air drying is recommended to prevent excessive shrinking and to extend the life of the cotton fabric.
Storage: Hang your jeans by the waistband or fold them to maintain the structure of the wide-leg drape.
