Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup & Combination Setting:
- To open the padlock, ensure the dials are set to the default combination (usually 0-0-0-0). Push the shackle up and then pull it outwards.
- Locate the reset mechanism (often a small lever or button on the underside of the lock body, which may require a tool like a pen tip to press).
- While pressing the reset mechanism, rotate the dials to your desired 4-digit combination.
- Release the reset mechanism. Your new combination is now set.
- *Important:* Remember your combination. There is no key override.
Compatibility:
The padlock's shackle size is designed to fit through standard locker loops, shed latches, and toolbox hasps. It is compatible with most common personal security needs.
Care Instructions:
- Keep the dials clean and free from debris to ensure smooth operation.
- Wipe the lock with a dry or slightly damp cloth as needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- For outdoor use, periodically check the mechanism for corrosion and ensure the dials turn freely. A light spray of a silicone-based lubricant may help maintain functionality in harsh weather.
