Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These trainers require no specific setup. Simply ensure you have the correct size for a comfortable fit before your first run. It is recommended to wear them for a short walk or jog before a long run to get accustomed to the feel.
Compatibility: The HOKA Mach 7 trainers are designed for road running. They are compatible with most running surfaces, including asphalt, concrete, and dry trails. They are not specifically designed for trail running with rugged terrain or for use in very wet or muddy conditions.
Care: To maintain the performance and longevity of your HOKA Mach 7 trainers:
- Cleaning: After runs, use a soft brush or damp cloth to remove loose dirt and mud from the upper and sole. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and cold water, and allow the shoes to air dry completely away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Drying: If the shoes become wet, stuff them with newspaper or paper towels to absorb moisture and help them retain their shape. Allow them to dry naturally.
- Storage: Store the shoes in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or in a hot car, as this can degrade the materials over time.
- Rotation: Consider rotating your Mach 7s with another pair of shoes if you run frequently. This allows the cushioning to recover and can extend the lifespan of both pairs.
