Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Wearing these wellies is straightforward:
- Ensure your child is wearing appropriate socks. Thicker socks can provide extra warmth and comfort, but ensure they don't make the wellies too tight.
- Slide your child's foot into the wellie, ensuring their heel is fully seated in the footbed.
- Pull the gaiter gently up their leg to help prevent water from splashing inside the top of the boot. No complex fastenings or adjustments are required.
Compatibility
These wellies are designed for kids and are specifically a UK Infant size 12. They are unisex in design and feature the Peppa Pig Puddle series aesthetic. Ensure this size corresponds to your child's current foot size, allowing a small amount of room for growth or thicker socks if desired.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your Regatta Peppa Pig Puddle Wellies:
- Cleaning: After use, especially in muddy conditions, rinse the wellies under cold or lukewarm water. Use a soft brush or cloth to gently remove any dirt or mud from the rubber and sole. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the rubber and design.
- Drying: Allow the wellies to air dry naturally, away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as extreme heat can cause the rubber to crack or degrade over time. You can wipe the inside with a cloth if it becomes damp.
- Storage: Store wellies upright in a cool, dry place. Avoid folding or creasing them, as this can weaken the rubber.
- Inspection: Periodically check for any small punctures or tears in the rubber, especially before and after very wet outings. Small repairs may be possible with specific rubber repair kits, but significant damage may affect waterproofing.
