Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Longline Quilted Hooded Puffer Coat requires no complex setup. Simply unpack and wear. Before your first use, it's a good practice to:
- Inspect: Check for any loose threads or packaging residue.
- Try On: Ensure the fit is comfortable and allows for natural movement. The "True to size" regular fit means you should select your usual size.
- Initial Airing: Hang the coat in a well-ventilated area for a few hours to allow it to fully expand and remove any faint factory odors.
Compatibility
This coat is designed for versatile styling in cold weather:
- Apparel: Best paired with casual items like sweaters, knitwear, denim jeans, leggings, and thermal underlayers.
- Footwear: Ideal with winter boots, ankle boots, or sturdy casual sneakers.
- Accessories: Complements scarves, gloves, and beanies for complete cold-weather protection.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the insulating properties of your coat. Always refer to the care label for specific instructions, but general guidelines for 100% Polyamide (outer and lining) and 100% Polyester (wadding) materials include:
- Washing: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colors. Use a mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach.
- Drying: Tumble dry low with a few clean tennis balls or dryer balls. This helps to re-fluff the polyester wadding and prevent clumping, maintaining the coat's loft and warmth. Remove promptly once dry to avoid wrinkles. Air drying flat is also an option but may take longer for the wadding to dry completely.
- Ironing: Generally, ironing is not recommended for puffer coats as high heat can damage the synthetic fibers and insulation. If absolutely necessary, use the lowest setting with a cloth barrier and avoid direct contact.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place on a wide hanger to maintain its shape, especially the padded areas. Avoid compressing for long periods, as this can flatten the wadding.
