These screws feature a special wax coating to increase the speed and ease of insertion. The countersunk Pozidriv-compatible head has an extra-deep insert bit recess for a quicker and easier insertion, and a firmer positive drive. Suitable for use with softwoods, hardwoods, chipboards and fibreboards. Forgefix General Purpose Pozidrive Screws with Countersunk heads are zinc plated for increased durability and are ideal for use in many ironmongery, electrical and plumbing applications. The Pozidriv screw has four additional points of contact and does not have the rounded corners that the Phillips screw drive has, allowing great torque to be applied without camming out. The countersunk head is designed to sink flush with substrates to leave a smooth surface finish. Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of the protected metal to create a longer lasting finish by forming a barrier and acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged.
