This guide is for active women seeking versatile outerwear for unpredictable weather. The Under Armour OutRun The Storm Jacket offers superior water and wind resistance while maintaining breathability and comfort, allowing you to focus on your activity. A potential caveat is that while super-water-resistant, it is not fully waterproof, and prolonged heavy downpours may eventually lead to saturation.

The jacket features UA Storm technology, making it 'super-water-resistant.' This means it offers excellent protection against water, but it is not fully waterproof. It is designed to handle rain and wet conditions effectively but may eventually saturate in prolonged, heavy downpours.
The jacket is wind-resistant and offers some protection from the elements, making it suitable for cool weather. For colder temperatures, it can be layered over insulating base layers or mid-layers.
Follow the specific care instructions: wash cold with like colors, zipped up and inside out, using non-chlorine bleach only when needed. Avoid fabric softeners and dry cleaning, and tumble dry on low. Proper care is essential for maintaining the UA Storm technology.
The back vents are designed to increase airflow and breathability. This helps to release excess heat and moisture generated during physical activity, keeping you more comfortable and preventing overheating.
Yes, the jacket is made from a durable, lightweight stretch-woven fabric that utilizes 4-way stretch material. This allows for greater mobility and comfort in all directions.
The jacket has secure zip hand pockets for storage. Additionally, there is an interior media pocket located on the right side, designed for safely carrying items like a phone or music player.
Yes, the jacket includes reflective details. These are strategically placed to enhance your visibility in low-light conditions, such as during early morning or evening runs.
Ensure the garment is washed according to care instructions, avoiding softeners and using non-chlorine bleach sparingly. Consider a specialized DWR (Durable Water Repellent) re-treatment if performance doesn't improve after proper washing.
Check that the back vents are clear of obstruction. Ensure the garment is clean, as dirt and residue can clog pores. Washing with a mild detergent and using a low tumble dry setting can help maintain breathability.
Ensure items are placed correctly within the pockets, particularly the interior media pocket, to avoid bulk. The fit of the jacket itself can also affect pocket comfort; ensure you have the correct size.
Setup: This is an outerwear garment; no setup is required. Simply wear it.
Compatibility: Designed for adult females engaged in athletic activities. It can be layered over base layers or athletic tops.
