During the initial setup, you'll be prompted to transfer data using a Google backup or a direct cable connection. Xiaomi also offers its 'Mi Mover' tool for easy data migration.

What type of charging port does it use?

What is the typical battery life I can expect?

Battery life varies greatly depending on usage. With its 5110 mAh battery, you can typically expect a full day of moderate to heavy use, but intense activities like continuous 5G streaming or gaming will reduce it faster.

Troubleshooting

Phone won't turn on.

Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a charger and wait a few minutes. If it still doesn't turn on, try a forced restart by holding the power button and volume down button simultaneously for about 10-15 seconds.

Apps are crashing or running slowly.

Clear the app's cache (Settings > Apps > Select App > Storage > Clear Cache). Ensure all apps are updated to their latest versions via the Google Play Store. If issues persist, restart your phone.

5G network is not connecting or is slow.

Verify your SIM card is properly inserted and your mobile plan includes 5G data. Check your phone's network settings (Settings > SIM cards & mobile networks > Preferred network type) to ensure 5G is selected. Ensure you are in an area with 5G coverage. Restart your phone or toggle Airplane Mode on and off.

Battery drains faster than expected.

Adjust screen brightness to a lower level. Disable unnecessary background app refresh and location services. Check battery usage stats (Settings > Battery > Battery usage) to identify power-hungry apps and restrict their background activity. Reduce screen-on time and limit streaming over mobile data.

Internal storage is full.

Delete old or unused apps. Clear app data and cache for large apps. Move photos and videos to cloud storage (Google Photos, Dropbox) or a computer. Use a file manager to identify and remove large unnecessary files.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Initial Setup

  1. Unbox Your Device: Carefully remove your Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G and any included accessories from the packaging.
  2. Insert SIM Card: Locate the SIM tray on the side of the phone. Use the provided SIM ejector tool to open the tray and insert your Nano-SIM card (and an optional microSD card if supported and desired).
  3. Power On: Press and hold the power button until the Xiaomi logo appears.
  4. Follow On-Screen Prompts: The Android setup wizard will guide you through language selection, Wi-Fi connection, Google account login, and data transfer from an old device.
  5. Personalize: Set up your fingerprint or face unlock, choose a wallpaper, and arrange your apps.

Compatibility

  • Network: Fully compatible with 5G, 4G LTE, and older GSM networks. Ensure your carrier supports 5G in your area for optimal speeds.
  • Wi-Fi: Supports Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and older standards. For Wi-Fi 6E speeds, a compatible Wi-Fi 6E router is required.
  • Operating System: Runs on the Android operating system, ensuring compatibility with millions of apps available on the Google Play Store.
  • Accessories: Compatible with standard USB-C chargers and audio accessories.

Product Care

  • Screen Protection: Consider applying a screen protector and using a protective case to guard against scratches and accidental drops.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth (e.g., microfiber) to gently wipe the screen and body. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Avoid Extremes: Protect your phone from extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold) and direct sunlight, as these can affect battery life and internal components.
  • Software Updates: Regularly install system updates when available. These often include security patches, performance improvements, and new features.
  • Battery Health: Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. For optimal longevity, try to keep the charge between 20% and 80%.
