The Wallflower ‘Artist Paintbox’ offers a stunning display of burnt orange and mauve blooms, bringing a touch of artistic flair to your garden. This hardy evergreen perennial boasts a compact habit, making it ideal for patio containers, beds, or borders. Enjoy a profusion of flowers from April through July, and even cut them for vases - they last up to 10 days and release a gentle fragrance. Reaching a height and spread of 30cm (11.8in), these wallflowers offer more than just beauty. The tender young shoots can be cooked and eaten as a vegetable. For best results, pot up your wallflower plugs in free-draining compost and grow them on in frost-free conditions until they are large enough to be planted outside. Acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting in free-draining soil in a sunny spot. Erysimum plants are tolerant of most neutral or alkaline soils and can even thrive in poor soils. Feed and water regularly until fully established. After flowering, trim back to prevent legginess. Product Specifications: Position: Full Sun. Height: up to 30cm (11.8in). Spread: up to 30cm (11.8in). Supplied as 6 Jumbo Plugs, delivered with growing and care instructions. Please note: Images are for guidance only and show expected results upon maturity. Different growing conditions may lead to varied results. Images may also illustrate supply but can vary due to seasonal changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
