Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
To ensure optimal comfort and protection, make sure the shoes are properly fitted. Gently slide your infant's foot into the shoe, using the pull tab at the heel to guide it. Ensure the foot is comfortably seated within the shoe, with toes having a small amount of wiggle room but not so much that the shoe feels loose or slips off. Regular checks for fit are recommended as infants grow quickly.
Compatibility
These Hot Tuna Aqua Water Shoes are specifically designed for infants and are compatible with a wide range of water activities and environments, including:
- Beaches (sand, shells, small rocks)
- Swimming Pools (decks, shallow ends)
- Splash Pads and Water Parks
- Shallow natural water bodies (streams, lakes)
They are suitable for both boys and girls. The specific variant is UK infant size 8 and comes in blue.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and effectiveness of your water shoes:
- Rinse After Use: After each use, especially in saltwater or chlorinated water, rinse the shoes thoroughly with cool, fresh water to remove salt, chlorine, sand, and other debris.
- Air Dry: Gently squeeze out excess water and allow the shoes to air dry completely. Place them in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators or dryers), as these can damage the materials and affect the shoe's flexibility and durability.
- No Machine Washing: Do not machine wash or tumble dry the shoes. This can degrade the textile upper and TPR sole.
- Spot Clean: For specific dirt or stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth to gently spot clean. Rinse well after cleaning.
