FAQs
Does this holder come in other colors?
Yes, Muji offers this model in white, yellow, pink, and grey.
Will this fit an electric toothbrush?
This holder is primarily designed for manual toothbrushes. Most electric toothbrush handles are too wide for the 3cm opening.
Is the material waterproof?
Yes, it is high-quality porcelain, which is non-porous and fully waterproof.
How do I prevent it from sliding on the counter?
The weight of the porcelain generally keeps it in place, but you can add a tiny silicone furniture pad to the bottom if your vanity is consistently wet or slippery.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes, the porcelain material is safe for dishwasher cleaning.
Troubleshooting
Toothbrush wobbles in the holder
Ensure the toothbrush is centered correctly. If you have an oversized ergonomic handle, the holder may not be able to stabilize it fully.
Stubborn stains on the porcelain
Soak the holder in a mixture of warm water and a small amount of baking soda to gently lift mineral or toothpaste buildup.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Extremely compact footprint fits anywhere
- Easy to clean porcelain material
- Durable and long-lasting build quality
- Prevents brush head from touching contaminated surfaces
Cons
- Only accommodates one toothbrush at a time
- Porcelain can chip if dropped on hard bathroom tile
- Not suitable for electric toothbrushes with large, bulky handles
Setup, Compatibility & Care
This stand requires no assembly; simply place it on a flat, dry surface. It is compatible with most standard manual toothbrushes. To care for your holder, wash it with warm, soapy water or place it on the top rack of your dishwasher if necessary. Avoid using abrasive scrubbing pads that could scratch the porcelain finish. If the holder becomes stained from toothpaste, a gentle wipe with a soft cloth and mild cleanser will restore its appearance.
