FAQs

Are these trainers true to size?

Most users find the MCQUEEN Oversized series fits true to standard UK sizing, but the structured leather requires a snug initial fit.

How do I clean the white leather?

Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and mild leather soap. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that could scratch the finish.

Can I put these in the washing machine?

No. Never machine wash leather trainers as the water and agitation will destroy the leather and weaken the sole adhesive.

Is the heel counter genuine suede?

Yes, the trainers feature a contrasting grey suede heel counter as part of the design.

What is the best way to store them?

Keep them in a dry area with shoe trees inside to prevent the leather from sagging and to maintain the silhouette.

Troubleshooting

Leather appearing creased after wear

Natural creasing is expected in leather; use cedar shoe trees to help the trainers maintain their shape when not in use.

Suede heel counter showing dirt

Use a specialized suede eraser or a dry, soft brush to lift dirt; do not use water on the suede portion.

Stiff fit during first wear

Wear the trainers for short durations around the house to allow the leather to flex and mold to your foot before long-distance walking.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-quality premium leather materials
Iconic, fashion-forward statement design
Durable chunky sole construction
Versatile color scheme for various outfits

Cons

Requires a break-in period due to sole thickness
The heavier weight may take adjustment for those used to lightweight runners
Leather requires specific cleaning care to maintain finish

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Before wearing your trainers, consider applying a leather protector spray to guard against minor scuffs and water spots. To clean the white leather upper, use a soft, damp cloth with a mild leather cleaner; avoid harsh chemical solvents. For the grey suede heel counter, use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove dust or debris, moving in the direction of the nap. Store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources, which can cause the leather to crack or the rubber sole glue to weaken over time. Always ensure you are selecting the correct UK size, as the structure is firm and lacks the elasticity of knit-fabric shoes.
