Product Information

Full details

The Saucony Hurricane 26 is designed for adult runners and walkers who prioritize maximum cushioning and reliable stability during road training. Featuring advanced incrediLUX foam, these trainers offer a plush, supportive fit that resists compression over long distances, making them an excellent choice for daily mileage. While they provide exceptional comfort, their high-stack design may feel less responsive to those who prefer minimalist or lightweight racing shoes.

FAQs

What is the primary surface for the Hurricane 26?

These shoes are specifically engineered for road surfaces.

What is the heel-to-toe drop?

The Hurricane 26 features a 6mm drop.

How much does the shoe weigh?

The shoe weighs approximately 262 grams.

Is this a neutral or stability shoe?

The design is built for support and stability, making it ideal for those who need a consistent, secure platform.

Can I use these for trail running?

No, they are designed for road use; using them on technical trails may decrease the lifespan of the sole and reduce stability.

How should I clean my Saucony trainers?

Use a soft brush and mild soap to spot-clean, and always air dry at room temperature.

Troubleshooting

Feeling discomfort after long runs

Ensure your lacing is not too tight; the padded upper provides natural security without needing excessive tension.

Foam feels 'flat' or compressed

Allow the shoe 24-48 hours of rest between runs to let the incrediLUX material regain its original form.

Excessive debris inside the shoe

Check that the tongue is centered before lacing; the padding is designed to seal the midfoot, but proper alignment is necessary.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Superior long-term cushioning that resists compression
Stable and supportive platform for high-mileage training
Padded, secure upper fit for all-day comfort
Durable design suitable for consistent road use

Cons

Not intended for fast-paced speed work or racing
High stack height may feel bulky for some runners
Limited to road surfaces rather than trail environments

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Hurricane 26 trainers, follow these maintenance guidelines:

Break-in: Wear them for short, alternating sessions during the first week to allow the foam to adapt to your foot strike.
Cleaning: Hand wash using mild soap and a soft brush or cloth. Do not machine wash, as this can degrade the foam structure.
Drying: Air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can warp the materials.
Rotation: If training heavily, rotate with another pair of shoes to allow the foam cushioning to fully decompress between uses.
