Product Information

Full details

The Cairns Large Garden Lantern is designed for homeowners seeking to add a warm, elegant glow to their outdoor or indoor spaces. Its key benefit is the ambiance created by three realistic TruGlow® LED candles with a convenient timer function. A potential caveat is that the candles require C batteries, which are sold separately and need regular replacement.

FAQs

What type of batteries do the candles use?

Each of the three TruGlow® candles requires 2 x C batteries. Therefore, a total of 6 C batteries are needed for the lantern.

Are the batteries included?

No, the C batteries required for the candles are sold separately.

How long do the batteries last?

Each candle can provide up to 1200 hours of illumination on a single set of batteries, depending on usage and battery quality.

Can this lantern be left outside in the rain?

Yes, the lantern has an IP44 rating, making it resistant to splashing water and suitable for outdoor use in various weather conditions. However, it is recommended to bring it indoors during severe storms.

How does the timer function work?

The 6-hour timer function means that once activated, the candles will turn on for 6 hours and then automatically switch off. They will then repeat this cycle at the same time each day.

What are the dimensions of the lantern?

The lantern measures approximately 61.5cm (Height) x 23cm (Width).

Can I use different types of candles inside the lantern?

This lantern is specifically designed to house the included TruGlow® candles. Using other types of candles may affect performance, safety, or aesthetics.

Troubleshooting

Lantern does not illuminate.

Ensure that batteries are correctly inserted in each candle and that they are not depleted. Check that the ON/TIMER switch on each candle is in the 'ON' or 'TIMER' position.

Timer function is not working.

Confirm that the switch on each candle is set to the 'TIMER' setting. Ensure new batteries have been installed, as low battery power can affect timer functionality.

Candle flickers erratically or is dim.

Replace the batteries in the affected candle with fresh C batteries. Ensure battery contacts are clean.

Exterior of lantern is dirty.

Gently wipe the lantern with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, use a mild soap solution and rinse with a clean damp cloth. Ensure the lantern is dry before use, especially if placing candles inside.
