FAQs

Can I iron these pants?

No, you should not iron the Under Armour Drive Tapered Pants as it may damage the specialized performance fibers.

Are these pants waterproof?

They feature UA Storm technology, which is water-repellent. They are highly effective in light rain and damp conditions but are not classified as fully waterproof rain gear.

What is the material composition?

The pants are made from a blend of 90% polyester and 10% elastane, with at least 90% of the main body fabric consisting of recycled polyester.

How should I wash them?

Machine wash cold with similar colors. Use only non-chlorine bleach if needed, tumble dry on low, and strictly avoid fabric softeners.

Does the waistband really keep shirts tucked in?

Yes, the pants feature an internal grip lining specifically designed to create friction against your shirt, preventing it from coming untucked during activity.

Troubleshooting

Water repellency seems to be fading

Ensure that no fabric softeners were used during washing, as these chemicals strip the DWR coating. Re-washing according to instructions may help restore performance.

Fabric wrinkles after washing

The fabric is designed to be low-maintenance and should not be ironed. If wrinkles occur, try hanging the pants in a steam-filled bathroom or using a garment steamer on a very low setting.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent moisture-repelling properties
  • High level of flexibility for athletic performance
  • Internal grip waistband prevents shirt untucking
  • Sustainable construction using recycled materials
  • Modern, professional tapered aesthetic

Cons

  • Not suitable for ironing
  • Strict washing requirements (no fabric softeners)
  • Limited to specific laundry settings

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To maximize the lifespan of the moisture-wicking and water-repellent performance features, follow these care instructions carefully:

  1. Machine Wash: Use a cold cycle with like colors to preserve fabric integrity.
  2. Bleaching: Use only non-chlorine bleach if absolutely necessary.
  3. Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting.
  4. Prohibitions: Do not iron, do not dry clean, and crucially, do not use fabric softeners, as these can coat the performance fibers and degrade the water-repellent treatment.
