The Trespass Aylmer Softshell Jacket is an ideal choice for adult outdoor enthusiasts seeking a reliable blend of style and technical performance. Designed specifically for women, this garment features a protective TPU membrane that shields the wearer from unpredictable elements while maintaining breathability. While it provides excellent coverage and practical storage, users should note that as a softshell, it is designed for versatility in moderate conditions rather than extreme, heavy-duty alpine environments.

The Aylmer is a softshell jacket with a TPU membrane for wind and water resistance, making it ideal for light showers and wind. It is not classified as a fully seam-sealed waterproof rain jacket.
No, the hood on the Aylmer is 'grown-on,' meaning it is permanently attached to the collar of the jacket.
Machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle using a mild liquid detergent. Never use fabric softener or bleach, as these will damage the membrane.
Store on a broad-shouldered hanger in a cool, dry place. Avoid keeping it compressed in a storage bag for long periods to prevent creasing the TPU membrane.
Yes, the Aylmer generally follows standard UK women's sizing. If you plan to wear thick sweaters underneath, you may consider sizing up for comfort.
Yes, the polyester softshell construction is designed to allow moisture vapor to escape during active use, keeping you comfortable while you move.
The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating has likely worn off. Use a specialized technical wash-in or spray-on DWR restorer to revive the finish.
Clear any debris or fabric caught in the teeth. You can lightly lubricate the zipper track with a dry silicone-based lubricant or a graphite pencil to improve glide.
This jacket requires no complex setup; however, proper maintenance is vital to preserving the TPU membrane's function. Always consult the care label inside the garment before washing. Typically, it is recommended to wash on a cool, gentle cycle with mild detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can clog the technical fabric and diminish its breathability and water resistance. Allow the jacket to air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can damage the synthetic fibers over time. To maintain the water-repellent finish over years of use, consider using a specialized technical fabric restorer once the water-beading performance naturally fades.
