FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
The Nike Initiator is designed as a lifestyle and casual walking shoe. It is not recommended for long-distance or high-intensity running.
Does the beige color show dirt easily?
Like most light-colored footwear, the beige material can show dirt more readily than darker colors, so regular maintenance is recommended.
Can I put these shoes in the washing machine?
No, machine washing can damage the glues and materials. It is better to spot clean them by hand.
How should I store them to keep the foam fresh?
Store them in a cool, dry environment out of direct sunlight to prevent the foam from drying out or hardening over time.
Are these true to size?
Yes, they generally follow standard Nike sizing. If you prefer a looser fit for thicker socks, some users may size up by half.
Troubleshooting
Creasing on the upper material
This is natural for runner-style shoes; use shoe trees when not worn to maintain shape.
Difficulty keeping the shoes clean
Apply a water-repellent spray designed for synthetic fabrics to protect against light dirt and spills.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Nike Initiator trainers last, follow these care guidelines:
- Initial Fit: Ensure your size (UK 7) provides enough room in the toe box while locking the heel in place.
- Cleaning: Use a soft brush to remove loose dirt from the mesh and synthetic overlays. For stains on the beige material, spot clean with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth; avoid fully submerging in water.
- Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to prevent material warping or adhesive breakdown.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place to maintain the shape of the upper.
