FAQs

Is the hood detachable?

Can this coat be tumble dried?

It is recommended to check the specific garment care label, but generally, air-drying is safer for the padding and fabric finish.

What is the material of the coat?

The exterior and interior lining are crafted from durable, weather-resistant nylon.

Is the coat suitable for freezing winter temperatures?

While the wadding provides warmth, it is best suited for chilly autumn/spring weather; for extreme freezing conditions, consider adding a thermal base layer.

Where is the Joules branding located?

The signature Joules hare logo is screen-printed on the chest.

How do I use the hand-me-down label?

The label inside the garment has multiple lines where you can write the names of each child who wears the coat, making it easier to track and share.

Troubleshooting

Zip feels stuck or difficult to close

Check for fabric caught in the zipper teeth, gently pull the fabric away, and ensure the zipper is aligned properly before moving the slider.

Coat loses shape after washing

Ensure the coat is air-dried naturally away from direct heat sources and periodically shake it to redistribute the internal wadding evenly.

Lightweight yet warm design ideal for transition seasons
Includes secure zipped pockets
Stylish chevron quilting
Features a dedicated hand-me-down label for longevity

Setup, Compatibility & Care

This coat is designed for straightforward daily use. To keep the garment in prime condition, it is fully machine washable. When cleaning, ensure all zippers are closed to prevent snags. It is recommended to wash with similar colors on a gentle cycle. Due to the padded nature of the coat, avoid tumble drying at high heats to maintain the integrity of the wadding. The coat is intended for children sized 5-6 years and is built to be passed down through the family using the provided internal label. The zipper should be operated smoothly to avoid catching the fabric lining.
