Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & Breaking In
Upon first use, the FlyTouch Lite leather upper may feel snug. It's recommended to wear your boots for a few short training sessions or walks to allow the leather to naturally mold to the unique contours of your foot. This 'breaking-in' period is crucial for achieving optimal comfort and performance during competitive match play.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This designation refers to natural grass pitches that are dry to slightly damp. Using FG boots on Artificial Grass (AG), Soft Ground (SG), or other surfaces can lead to accelerated wear of the studs, reduced traction, and potentially increase the risk of injury. Always match your boot type to the pitch conditions.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care will significantly extend the life and maintain the performance of your Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Elite FG boots:
- Clean After Each Use: After every game or training session, remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh scrubbing which can damage the leather.
- Wipe Down: Use a clean, slightly damp cloth to gently wipe the entire surface of the boots, including the studs, to remove any remaining grime.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or artificial heat sources, as excessive heat can cause the leather to crack, stiffen, or shrink. Stuffing the boots with newspaper can help absorb internal moisture and maintain their shape.
- Conditioning (Optional): Periodically, applying a leather conditioner specifically formulated for football boots can help keep the leather supple, prevent drying, and maintain its integrity.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures or humidity, to preserve their material quality.
- Refer to Product Label: Always consult the specific care instructions provided on the product label for any additional recommendations unique to this product.
