Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unpack: Remove your clogs from their packaging.
- Adjust Buckle: Place your foot in the clog. Use the individually adjustable metal buckle to loosen or tighten the strap until the clog feels secure but not overly tight. There should be a small gap between the strap and your foot, allowing for natural movement.
- Break-in: Wear your clogs for short periods initially (e.g., 30 minutes to an hour) and gradually increase wear time over a few weeks. This allows the Soft Footbed to mold to your unique foot shape for optimal comfort.
Compatibility
- Gender: Unisex design, suitable for all adults.
- Foot Type: Specifically designed for a narrow fit. If you typically wear a standard or wide fit, these may feel too snug. Consider trying them on to ensure proper sizing.
- Style: Highly versatile for casual wear, complementing a wide range of outfits from denim to casual trousers and skirts.
- Origin: Proudly Made in EU, ensuring quality craftsmanship.
Care & Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and appearance of your Birkenstock Boston Suede Clogs:
- Suede Protection: Before first wear, consider applying a high-quality suede protector spray. This helps repel water and prevent stains.
- Regular Cleaning: Use a soft suede brush to gently remove dirt and dust. Brush in one direction to maintain the nap.
- Spot Cleaning: For minor spots, use a suede eraser. For tougher stains, a specialized suede cleaner designed for suede leather can be used. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.
- Drying: If your clogs get wet, allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight). Stuff them with paper towels to absorb moisture and help retain their shape.
- Avoid Water Immersion: The suede upper and cork footbed are not designed to be submerged in water, as this can damage the materials and compromise the footbed's integrity.
- Storage: Store your clogs in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
