Setup, Compatibility & Care
To keep your Chuck Taylors in prime condition, keep the following care tips in mind:
- Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove loose dirt from the cotton canvas. For deeper stains, spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid soaking the shoes.
- Drying: Always air dry your trainers naturally away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can warp the rubber components.
- Compatibility: These trainers run true to standard sizing but may feel snug if worn with very thick hiking socks. If you intend to add aftermarket insoles, you may consider ensuring you have adequate vertical space within the shoe.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place to prevent mildew on the fabric and to maintain the flexibility of the rubber foxing tape.
