Whether you're growing fruit, vegetables, or salad greens, our cages provide the protection you need for a bountiful harvest. The cages stand 1.2m high (3ft 11 inches) once erected and come with instructions, diagrams, and a list of contents. The 16mm uprights (legs) are pushed into the soil 300mm. The tubes are 1500mm (4ft 11 inches) long allowing for the 300mm insertion. Connectors, either build-a-balls or joiners, are used to connect the 13mm crossbars, which then connect to the legs. The netting is laid over the cage and pegged down. It is not fitted, as this would make it difficult on the larger cages to take off the netting with just one person. Your crops should grow larger and be healthier with the wind resistance provided by the netting, which also stops insect pests and birds. You can choose your netting; for more information about each type, click on the following links: Bird Netting Black, Bird Netting Green, Butterfly Netting Black and Green, Veggiemesh. The covers are not fitted, making them easy to lift for working the beds. If you would like a higher garden cage or a walk-in cage, follow these links. You can also build your own fruit or vegetable cage, or if you would like us to work it out for you, fill in our cage enquiry form. Please note: if snow or high winds are forecast, remove the netting. See our Cages FAQ for some common questions and answers.

Troubleshooting
Cage feels unstable
Ensure the upright tubes are pushed sufficiently deep into the soil (approx. 300mm). Check that all connectors are securely fastened.
Netting is not staying in place
Ensure the netting is properly pegged down around the base of the cage. Add extra pegs if needed, especially in windy areas.
Pests are still getting into the cage
Check for any gaps or holes in the netting or where the netting meets the ground. Ensure the correct type of netting is used for the specific pest you are trying to deter.
Netting is difficult to lift for access
While designed to be lifted, ensure pegs are removed or loosened before attempting to lift. For very large cages, having a second person can assist.
