Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials. Keep the instruction manual for future reference.
- Position: Place the toaster on a clean, dry, flat, and heat-resistant surface, away from walls, cabinets, and flammable materials.
- First Use: Before initial use, operate the toaster a few times without bread on the highest setting. This helps burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminates any initial odors. Ensure good ventilation during this process.
- Plug In: Connect the power cord to a standard wall outlet.
Compatibility
This toaster is designed for use with standard household power outlets (Info needed: specific voltage/frequency for region if applicable). It is compatible with various types of bread, crumpets, bagels (though not with a specific 'bagel' setting for single-sided toasting), and waffles. Ensure items fit comfortably within the slots without force.
Care and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Empty Crumb Trays: Pull out the removable crumb trays located at the bottom of the toaster. Discard crumbs and wipe the trays clean with a damp cloth. Ensure they are completely dry before reinserting.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, a mild household cleaner can be used, but avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the textured plastic finish.
- Never Submerge: Do NOT submerge the toaster or its cord in water or any other liquid.
- Inside Cleaning: Never insert utensils or your fingers into the toaster slots, especially when it is plugged in. If food gets stuck, unplug the toaster and carefully dislodge it once cooled using non-metallic tongs.
- Storage: When not in use, ensure the toaster is unplugged and stored in a dry, safe place.
