Voigtlander LH-15 Lens Hood

The LH-15 lens hood is specifically designed for the Voigtlander 40mm f/1.2 VM Nokton II Aspherical, 50mm f/1.2 VM Nokton II Aspherical, and 35mm f/1.2 VM Nokton IV lenses. It may not fit other Voigtlander lenses or lenses from different brands due to variations in front element diameter and threading.

Typically, lens caps designed for the original lens may not fit over the attached hood. You would usually remove the hood to attach the standard lens cap, or use a separate cap designed for the hood itself if available.

On rangefinder cameras, the physical size of the lens hood can sometimes intrude into the viewfinder's field of view. This is a common consideration with larger hoods and specific lens/camera combinations. Check user reviews or test if possible for your specific camera model.

The LH-15 hood is a fixed-length metal hood and is not designed to be reversed for storage.

Ensure you are using a compatible lens and that the hood is correctly aligned with the lens threads. Do not force the hood; if it feels stuck, re-align and try again gently.

Confirm that the hood is fully and correctly attached. While designed for the specific lenses, ultra-wide angles or extreme filter stacking could potentially cause slight vignetting. For the intended lenses, this is uncommon.

The metal construction can be prone to cosmetic scratches from normal use. Clean gently with a microfiber cloth. For deeper scratches, they are typically cosmetic and do not affect the hood's optical performance.
