FAQs

What size dog fits in this kennel?

This kennel is designed specifically for small to medium-sized breeds. Please compare your dog's height and length against the 50 x 26cm entrance and the 75 x 59 x 66cm external dimensions.

Can this be used indoors?

Yes, it is lightweight and safe for use in garages, utility rooms, or mudrooms.

Is the roof removable for cleaning?

The roof is designed for weather resistance and stability; while it may be detachable depending on your assembly, it is intended to remain fixed for protection.

How do I keep the interior warm?

The raised floor already helps with insulation. For extra warmth, place a water-resistant pet mat or elevated bed inside the kennel.

Does it require special tools to assemble?

No special tools are required; standard household screwdrivers are sufficient.

Troubleshooting

Kennel feels unstable on the ground

Ensure the surface is level and adjust the positioning; check that all assembly screws are tightened securely.

Moisture inside the kennel

Verify that the kennel is not positioned in a low spot where water pools and confirm that the roof panels are correctly aligned for drainage.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Raised floor protects against ground moisture and cold
Efficient rainwater management via sloped roof design
Adequate ventilation prevents interior stagnation
Versatile for both outdoor garden and indoor utility use
Easy-to-clean surfaces

Cons

Not suitable for very large dog breeds
Requires assembly
Lacks insulation for extreme sub-zero temperatures

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Assembly is straightforward, requiring basic hand tools to secure the panels. When choosing a location, select a flat, level surface to ensure stability and proper roof drainage. If placing on a patio, the compact 75 x 59 x 66cm footprint allows for placement against a wall to further shield the entrance from wind.

To care for your Actiaspet kennel, simply wipe the outer panels with a damp cloth and mild soap during routine cleaning. Regularly check the ventilation openings to ensure they are not blocked by debris or leaves to maintain optimal airflow. During extreme weather events, it is recommended to move the kennel to a protected area or indoors.
