Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your Nike LD-1000 trainers is straightforward:
- Lacing: Unlace the trainers sufficiently to comfortably insert your foot.
- Wearing: Slide your foot into the shoe, ensuring your heel sits snugly against the back.
- Adjusting: Tighten the laces from the toes upwards, ensuring a snug but not overly tight fit. Secure with a double knot for added security during wear.
Compatibility
These trainers are designed for casual wear and daily use. They pair well with various casual outfits, including jeans, chinos, shorts, and athleisure wear. While inspired by running, they are best suited for light activities, walking, and general lifestyle purposes.
Care
Proper care will help maintain the appearance and longevity of your Nike LD-1000 trainers:
- Cleaning the Upper: For the woven textile and mesh areas, gently wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. For suede sections, use a specialized suede brush to remove dirt and restore the nap. Avoid harsh scrubbing on suede.
- Cleaning the Outsole: Use a brush (like an old toothbrush) and mild soapy water to clean the rubber Waffle outsole, removing dirt and debris from the treads.
- Drying: Always air dry your trainers at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, which can damage materials, especially suede and foam midsoles.
- Protection: Consider applying a water and stain repellent spray specifically designed for mixed-material footwear to the upper to help protect against elements and stains.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash or tumble dry your trainers, as this can damage the materials and construction.
