FAQs

Are the SL/61 trainers true to size?

Yes, they generally follow standard adult UK sizing for trainers.

Can these be worn for running?

No, these are fashion trainers made of leather and are not intended for athletic performance or long-distance running.

How do I keep the white laces clean?

Remove the laces and hand wash them in warm water with a mild soap, then air dry completely before re-lacing.

What is the best way to store them?

Store them in a dust bag or a cool, dark cupboard to prevent direct sunlight from fading the leather.

Is the leather water-resistant?

While the leather is durable, it is not waterproof; avoid walking in heavy rain to keep the material in prime condition.

Troubleshooting

Leather feels stiff upon first wear

Wear them for short periods indoors to allow the leather to naturally mold to the shape of your feet.

Surface scuffs appearing on the leather

Gently rub the area with a soft cloth and a small amount of leather cleaner designed for smooth surfaces.

Gold-tone branding losing luster

Clean the area with a dry microfiber cloth to remove oils; avoid harsh chemicals that can strip the metallic finish.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your SL/61 trainers maintain their appearance, follow these care instructions:

Routine Cleaning: Wipe the leather surface with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt.
Leather Protection: Use a high-quality leather conditioner periodically to prevent the leather from drying out or cracking.
Storage: Store the sneakers in a cool, dry place, ideally using shoe trees to help them retain their original shape.
Moisture Prevention: Avoid wearing the trainers in heavy rain, as prolonged exposure to moisture can damage the leather finish and gold-tone hardware.
Compatibility: These trainers are standard UK sizing and pair perfectly with slim-fit or straight-leg trousers, emphasizing their clean, low-profile design.
