FAQs

What type of surface are these boots designed for?

These boots are designed for Firm Ground (FG) natural grass pitches. Their stud configuration is optimized for this surface.

How do I clean the PUMA Ultra 6 Ultimate FG boots?

Clean with a soft brush or damp cloth after use. Allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources. Do not use harsh detergents.

What is the benefit of the GripControl Pro texturing?

The GripControl Pro texturing on the mesh upper provides superior ball control, allowing for more confident dribbling and handling at pace.

Can I use these boots on artificial grass?

It is not recommended. These boots are specifically engineered for firm ground. Using them on artificial grass could lead to reduced performance, increased wear, and potential injury.

What makes the SPEEDSYSTEM soleplate special?

The SPEEDSYSTEM soleplate is developed through extensive research to optimize acceleration, braking, and cutting efficiency on the football pitch, utilizing FastTrax studs for enhanced grip and propulsion.

Are there different color options available for the Ultra 6 Ultimate series?

Yes, the PUMA Ultra series comes in various colorways. The specific model described here is in Puma Black, Puma Red, and Strong Gray.

What is the PWRTAPE SQD support frame for?

The reengineered PWRTAPE SQD support frame offers a balance of agility and stability, ensuring your foot remains secure during dynamic movements without hindering quick changes of direction.

Do these boots contain any recycled materials?

Yes, the upper of these boots is made with at least 20% recycled materials as part of PUMA's commitment to sustainability.

Troubleshooting

Boots feel too tight or uncomfortable

Ensure the laces are properly adjusted. The boots may require a break-in period; wear them for short periods initially to allow them to mold to your foot shape. Check that you have the correct size.

Reduced traction on the pitch

Clean the studs to remove any accumulated mud or debris, which can impede grip. Ensure you are playing on a firm ground surface as intended; performance may vary on different pitch types.

Upper material feels stiff

This is normal for new boots and indicates the GripControl Pro texturing. Continued use will soften the material. You can also condition the upper lightly with a specialized leather conditioner if appropriate for the synthetic mesh.

Sockliner moves during play

Ensure the sockliner is correctly seated within the boot. The Nano Grip Technology is designed to minimize movement; if issues persist, consider using a sports-specific insole adhesive or a different type of insole.

Pros and Cons

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Unbox the PUMA Ultra 6 Ultimate FG football boots.
  2. Ensure the lightweight, removable sockliner with Nano Grip Technology is correctly placed inside the boot.
  3. The boots are ready for use on firm ground pitches straight out of the box.

Compatibility:

  • These boots are specifically designed for use on Firm Ground (FG) natural grass pitches. Their stud configuration is optimized for this surface and may not be suitable or safe for artificial grass, hard ground, or indoor courts.

Care:

  1. Cleaning: After each use, remove excess dirt and mud with a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid using harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
  2. Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials.
  3. Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place, preferably in a breathable bag, to maintain their shape and prevent odor.
  4. Laces and Insoles: Clean laces and insoles separately if needed. Ensure they are fully dry before reinserting them into the boots.
  5. Maintenance: Periodically inspect the studs for wear and tear. Check the upper and sole for any damage.
