Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Wear
Allow a short break-in period for the premium leather to conform naturally to your foot shape. Wearing them for short periods around the house initially can aid in this process.
Cleaning
- Surface Dirt: Gently wipe off any surface dirt or dust with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Deeper Cleaning: For more stubborn dirt, use a specialized leather cleaner appropriate for black leather, following the product's instructions carefully.
- Drying: Always allow the boots to air dry naturally, away from direct heat sources or sunlight, which can damage the leather.
Conditioning & Protection
- Conditioning: To maintain the leather's suppleness, prevent cracking, and keep it looking new, apply a high-quality leather conditioner periodically. This helps to moisturize and nourish the material.
- Protection: For enhanced water resistance and stain protection, consider applying a leather protector spray before the first wear and reapply as needed, especially if you anticipate exposure to wet conditions.
Storage
- Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can fade or dry out the leather.
- Use boot shapers or stuff the boots with acid-free paper to help maintain their original form and prevent creasing.
Compatibility
These boots are designed for adult women and are compatible with standard footwear accessories like socks (preferably moisture-wicking) and, if desired, custom or over-the-counter insoles that fit well within the boot's structure.
