FAQs
Are these gloves touchscreen compatible?
While the design focuses on rein grip, the thin material often allows for basic interaction with screens, though they are not explicitly marketed as touchscreen-conductive.
Are these suitable for winter riding?
No, these are lightweight, breathable gloves designed for performance in mild to warm weather. They provide minimal insulation.
How should I store them?
Store them flat in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving them crumpled in a bag, as this can cause the synthetic mesh to lose its shape.
Can I machine wash these gloves?
Hand washing is highly recommended to preserve the reinforcement and the delicate mesh back panel.
Do these gloves come in different colors?
Yes, they are available in multiple colorways, including black and silver variations to suit your riding attire.
Troubleshooting
Glove feels tight around the knuckles
The Pro Mesh is designed for a close fit; ensure you are not pulling the glove too far up the wrist. Check if you are between sizes and may need a larger fit.
Reduced grip performance
The Reintex material can accumulate dust or oils. Clean with a damp cloth to restore the tacky surface properties.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Excellent tactile sensitivity on the reins
- Highly breathable back panel keeps hands cool
- Reinforced construction in high-wear areas
- Modern, stylish design with silver accents
Cons
- Not intended for extreme cold weather protection
- Material is optimized for thinness, prioritizing feel over heavy abrasion resistance
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Woof Wear Vision Riding Gloves, proper care is essential. Since these are performance-oriented gloves, avoid using them for heavy barn chores like mucking out, which can cause excessive strain on the mesh panels.
Care Instructions:
- Hand wash using a mild, non-abrasive soap to maintain the integrity of the synthetic fibers.
- Do not use strong detergents or bleach, as these can degrade the stretch properties of the mesh.
- Always allow the gloves to air dry away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, to prevent the fabric from shrinking or becoming brittle.
- Ensure the Velcro or closure systems are kept free of hair and debris to maintain a secure fit over time.
