Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely before putting on the boots. Insert your foot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back.
- Tightening: Begin tightening the laces from the bottom (toes) upwards, ensuring a snug but not overly restrictive fit across your instep. Double-knot the laces to prevent them from coming undone during play.
- Break-In: Wear the boots for a few short sessions (e.g., training drills, light kickabouts) before a full match to allow them to mold to your feet and maximize comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are designated 'FG' (Firm Ground), meaning they are specifically designed for use on natural grass pitches that are firm and dry. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or soft/wet natural ground (SG) can compromise performance, durability, and potentially lead to injury.
Care
- Cleaning after Use: After each use, wipe off any dirt, mud, or grass clippings from the upper and outsole using a damp cloth. For stubborn mud, a soft brush can be used on the outsole.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators), as these can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape.
- Deep Cleaning: For a more thorough clean, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush on the upper. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash or tumble dry your football boots, as this can severely damage them.
