The Converse Chuck Taylor Throwback trainers are designed for active kids who want a blend of retro 90s aesthetic and modern comfort. These shoes feature a wider base and chunky laces, making them an excellent choice for daily wear, though the signature heavy-duty canvas may require a short breaking-in period for some children.

Yes, the Chuck Taylor Throwback series is designed with a wider base than the standard Converse model, making them more comfortable for wider feet.
The OrthoLite insoles are designed to be integrated into the shoe, though they may be removed if you need to insert custom orthotics.
They generally run true to standard children's UK sizing, but the wider base can make them feel more spacious than traditional canvas shoes.
Use a soft brush to remove loose dirt and spot-clean with cold water and a mild detergent. Air dry away from direct sunlight.
While they offer better stability than standard flat-soled sneakers, they are intended for casual, everyday wear rather than high-performance sports.
Wear them with thicker socks for the first few outings to help break in the canvas material gradually.
Because the laces are thicker, ensure you double-knot them, or swap to a standard lace if a more secure grip is needed for sports.
Use a specialized rubber cleaner or a melamine sponge dampened with water to gently buff away surface marks.
To get the best fit, ensure the laces are adjusted properly across the wider base to avoid pinching. When cleaning these trainers, it is recommended to use a soft brush and mild soap to spot-clean the canvas. Avoid machine washing to prevent damage to the rubber soles and structural integrity. For the white rubber toe cap, a damp cloth with a mild eraser sponge can help remove scuffs. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources to preserve the adhesive longevity.
