Setup, Compatibility & Care
Sterilization: Before filling with any food product, it is essential to sterilize these glass jam jars. This can be done by washing them thoroughly in hot, soapy water, rinsing, and then placing them in a preheated oven at 140°C (285°F) for at least 15 minutes. Alternatively, they can be submerged in boiling water for 10 minutes.
Lid Care: Wash lids by hand with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the gold finish. Ensure lids are completely dry before sealing jars to prevent rust.
Cleaning: For everyday cleaning, hand washing with warm, soapy water is recommended. The glass jars are generally dishwasher safe on a standard cycle, but hand washing will help preserve the clarity of the glass and the finish of the lids.
Compatibility: These jars are designed for use with their corresponding gold metal screw-top lids. While generally compatible with standard jam jar sealing methods, always ensure a proper fit and seal.
Storage: Store jars and lids separately in a dry place until ready for use. Once filled and sealed, store upright in a cool, dark place.
