For daily school wear, it's recommended to polish the Kickers Kick Scuff Lo shoes at least once a week to maintain their appearance and protect the leather. You can also give them a quick wipe-down daily.

While the premium leather offers some natural resistance, these shoes are not fully waterproof. For wet weather, we recommend applying a suitable leather protector spray to enhance water resistance.

To clean the hook-and-loop strap, use a stiff brush, an old toothbrush, or a fine-toothed comb to remove any lint, dust, or debris that might be caught in the 'hooks' or 'loops'.

Ensure there is about a thumb's width space between your child's longest toe and the end of the shoe. The shoe should feel snug around the heel but not tight. Have your child try them on with socks they would typically wear.

These Kickers are designed for general school wear and daily activities. While durable, they are not specialized athletic shoes and may not provide the necessary support or flexibility for vigorous sports activities.

If the leather gets wet, gently wipe off excess water. Stuff the shoes with newspaper to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape. Allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources. Do not put them in a tumble dryer.

Clean the area with a damp cloth, then apply black shoe polish specifically for leather. Buff with a soft cloth or brush to restore shine.

Leather shoes may require a short breaking-in period. Wear them for shorter durations initially. Ensure the `hook-and-loop` strap isn't overtightened. If discomfort persists, check the sizing.

Clean any lint or debris from both parts of the hook-and-loop fastener using a stiff brush or tweezers. If severely worn, the strap may need professional repair or replacement.

Ensure shoes are fully dry after each wear. Use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside overnight (remove before wearing). Allow shoes to air out regularly.
