Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the curtains from their packaging. You may find some creases from storage; these can often be relaxed by hanging or a gentle iron.
- Rod Selection: Ensure you have a curtain rod suitable for eyelet curtains. The eyelets are designed to slide over the rod smoothly. The rod should extend beyond the window frame for optimal coverage.
- Hanging: Thread the eyelets onto your curtain rod. For a pair, hang one panel on each side of the window, ensuring the eyelets are evenly spaced for a neat drape.
- Adjust: Once hung, adjust the folds to achieve your desired look. The heavy cotton fabric is designed to hang wonderfully.
Compatibility
- Curtain Rods: Compatible with standard curtain rods designed for eyelet or ring-top curtains. Ensure the rod diameter is appropriate for the eyelet rings.
- Homescapes Coordinated Items: These curtains are designed to complement Homescapes' range of coordinating cushions, floor cushions, and fabric by the meter, allowing for a cohesive interior design.
- Blackout Lining: For enhanced light blockage and thermal insulation, these curtains are fully compatible with separate blackout lining, which can be easily added behind them.
Care
As these curtains are made from 100% cotton, general care guidelines typically apply. Always refer to the specific care label sewn into your curtains for the most accurate instructions.
- Washing: Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold water is often suitable for 100% cotton. Use a mild detergent.
- Drying: Tumble dry on a low setting or hang to dry naturally to prevent shrinkage and maintain fabric integrity.
- Ironing: If needed, iron on a low to medium heat setting while slightly damp to remove creases.
- OEKO-TEX® Certification: While certified for chemical safety, this does not alter the textile care instructions; always follow the label for washing.
