FAQs
Is the material stretchy?
The D62 is made primarily of cotton denim, which is known for its durability and structure rather than high elasticity.
What is the waist height?
This model features a mid-waist design, providing a balance between high-rise and low-rise styles.
Are the pockets actual pockets?
Yes, both the front and back pockets are fully functional and capable of holding small items like keys or lip balm.
Does this skort run true to size?
Yes, the Stradivarius D62 typically fits true to standard UK dress sizes, but consider sizing up if you prefer a looser fit in non-stretch denim.
How do I prevent the denim from fading?
Wash in cold water, turn inside out, and avoid direct sunlight when drying.
Troubleshooting
Button is difficult to fasten initially
New denim can be stiff; fasten the button while the garment is off, then wear it for a few hours to allow the fibers to soften.
Excessive indigo dye bleeding
Wash the skort separately in cold water with a cup of white vinegar on the first cycle to help set the dye.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Integrated shorts provide extra confidence and freedom of movement
- Classic blue denim wash matches a wide variety of tops
- Functional pocket design for daily essentials
- Sturdy hardware and construction
Cons
- Cotton denim lacks the stretch found in synthetic blends
- Limited size range compared to high-stretch alternatives
- Requires machine washing with care to maintain blue dye integrity
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your skort maintains its fit and color, follow these care instructions:
- Washing: Turn the garment inside out before machine washing on a cold, gentle cycle to prevent excessive fading of the blue wash.
- Drying: Air dry whenever possible to prevent shrinkage; if using a machine, select the lowest heat setting.
- Compatibility: The D62 fits true to standard UK sizing for a mid-waist cut. Because it is made of cotton, it is best paired with breathable fabrics like cotton or linen tops to maintain a comfortable feel in warmer weather.
- Storage: Hang by the waistband or fold neatly; avoid using harsh chemical bleaches as they will damage the denim weave.
