Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely.
- Insert Foot: Slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is seated firmly at the back.
- Tighten Laces: Starting from the bottom, pull the laces evenly to achieve a snug, secure fit without being too tight. Double-knot to prevent untying during play.
- Break-in: It's advisable to wear the boots for a few shorter sessions or light training before a full match to allow them to mold to your feet and prevent discomfort.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means they are best suited for:
- Natural grass pitches that are firm and dry.
- Well-maintained grass pitches with short to medium-length grass.
They are not recommended for:
- Soft Ground (SG) or wet, muddy pitches (due to insufficient stud length/configuration).
- Artificial Grass (AG) or turf pitches (can cause premature wear to the outsole and potentially injury).
- Indoor surfaces.
Care
- Cleaning After Use: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud by knocking the soles together. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe down the upper and outsole.
- Stubborn Stains: For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth or brush. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the synthetic materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources (like radiators or hair dryers), as this can cause materials to crack or shrink.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, sprinkle a small amount of baking soda inside the boots and leave overnight, then shake out.
- Inspection: Regularly check studs for wear or damage. Worn studs can compromise traction and increase the risk of injury.
