The Rapha Brevet Reflective Gloves are designed for adult male cyclists undertaking long-distance rides, prioritizing comfort, visibility, and protection. Their key benefit lies in enhanced safety through reflective elements and superior comfort via specialized padding, though the snug fit may require careful sizing. Key features include Poron memory foam padding, bonded reflective stripes, Polartec Power Shield Pro fabric for insulation and breathability, a streamlined velcro closure, and an abrasion-resistant suede palm.

The gloves feature Poron memory foam padding to reduce pressure points and nerve damage, minimized stitching for comfort, and breathable yet insulating fabric for consistent hand temperature over extended periods.
Bonded reflective stripes are integrated into the back of the hand, significantly increasing your visibility to motorists and other road users in low-light conditions like dawn, dusk, or fog.
The abrasion-resistant suede palm provides reliable grip even in damp conditions. While they offer some protection, they are not fully waterproof and are best suited for cool to mild, not heavy rain, conditions.
This fabric provides a balance of insulation, keeping your hands warm, and breathability, allowing moisture vapor to escape to prevent overheating and maintain comfort.
Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent and air dry. Avoid machine washing, harsh chemicals, and direct heat to preserve the materials and reflective elements.
The redesigned wrist section features a bonded hem to reduce friction and a streamlined velcro closure that minimizes bulk for a more comfortable and less intrusive fit against the handlebar.
These gloves offer good insulation for cool to mild conditions. For freezing temperatures or harsh winter weather, you might need more specialized, heavily insulated winter gloves.
Ensure you have selected the correct size by consulting the Rapha sizing guide. If the fit is still uncomfortable, consider trying a size up. Break-in period may be required for the materials to soften.
Ensure the suede palm is clean and dry. Suede can lose grip when wet or soiled. If necessary, clean gently according to care instructions.
Avoid excessive machine washing or drying. Follow hand-wash and air-dry instructions carefully to preserve the bonded elements.
These gloves are designed for moderate conditions. For extreme cold, consider heavier insulated gloves. For very warm weather, lighter, more ventilated gloves may be preferable. Ensure the velcro closure is not over-tightened, restricting circulation.
Setup: These gloves are designed for immediate use upon purchase. Ensure you have selected the correct size by measuring your hand circumference and comparing it to the Rapha sizing chart. The streamlined velcro closure allows for easy adjustment for a secure, comfortable fit.
Compatibility: The Rapha Brevet Reflective Gloves are compatible with all types of handlebars and cycling setups. The suede palm offers good grip across various materials.
Care: To maintain the performance and longevity of your gloves:
