FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
While based on high-performance running styles from the early 2000s, the 1906R is primarily designed as a lifestyle trainer for daily comfort and fashion.
How do I clean the black synthetic materials?
Wipe with a damp cloth and a very mild soap solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or machine washing, as this can damage the shoe's structure.
Do these trainers fit true to size?
Yes, the New Balance 1906R generally fits true to your standard UK shoe size, though the padded zones may feel snug initially.
Can I replace the insoles with custom orthotics?
Yes, the existing insoles are generally removable, allowing you to insert your own custom orthotics if required for additional support.
How often should I clean my 1906R trainers?
Regular spot cleaning as needed will keep them looking their best. A deeper clean is recommended if the shoes are exposed to mud or salt.
Troubleshooting
Feeling of tightness across the instep
Adjust the lacing pattern to be slightly looser across the midfoot to allow for natural foot expansion during the day.
Accumulation of dust or debris in the mesh
Use a compressed air canister or a soft dry brush to gently dislodge trapped particles from the mesh fibers.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your New Balance 1906R trainers, proper care is essential:
- Sizing: Ensure you select your standard UK adult size, as the structure is designed for a secure, athletic fit.
- Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove dry dirt from the mesh and synthetic overlays. For deeper stains, use a mild detergent mixed with water and a clean cloth.
- Drying: Always air dry your trainers at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators, as these can warp the cushioning materials and degrade adhesives.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent colour fading.
