FAQs

What is the weight of the Avid Benchmark Ultra?

The system weighs 16.8kg.

What are the dimensions of the bed?

The bed measures 80cm wide, 200cm long, with an adjustable height between 38cm and 48cm.

Is the duvet removable?

Yes, the integrated 5-season duvet is designed to be part of the system but can be adjusted for temperature control.

Can I use this bed on very steep banks?

The LevelTech leg system provides significant adjustability, but always prioritize safety and ensure the base is stable before use.

How should I clean the fabric?

Use a soft brush to remove dried mud and a damp cloth for spots; do not machine wash or use harsh chemicals.

What does 5-season mean?

It means the system is insulated sufficiently for use throughout the entire year, including the coldest winter months.

Troubleshooting

Legs feel unstable on uneven ground

Ensure all LevelTech leg pins are fully engaged and locked; adjust individual leg heights until the spirit level indicates the bed is flat.

Difficulty folding the bed flat

Check that the internal duvet is not bunched up near the hinge area and verify that no debris is lodged in the dual-pivot mechanism.

Duvet feels cold during winter

Check that both internal and external draught baffles are fully secured and tucked in to prevent cold air entry.

Pros and Cons

Versatile 5-season warmth suitable for year-round use
Fully waterproof exterior material
Flat-profile design for superior back support

Higher price point reflecting premium components

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the system, unfold the bed on level ground and adjust the LevelTech leg pins until the bed is stable. Ensure all hinges are locked into position before applying weight.

For care and maintenance, the 20,000mm Peachskin fabric should be cleaned only with a damp cloth; avoid abrasive detergents that could damage the waterproof membrane. After wet sessions, allow the system to dry thoroughly in an open area to prevent mold or mildew build-up inside the internal baffles. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods, and ensure the ergonomic handle is clear of debris before carrying.
