Product Information

Full details

The Trespass Peter Ski Jacket is an ideal choice for active boys aged 9-10 who enjoy skiing and winter outdoor play. It provides essential protection against wet weather through a 3000mm waterproof rating and keeps kids comfortable with practical features like an inner snowbreak. While it offers excellent visibility and warmth, users should note that the 3000mm rating is best suited for light to moderate precipitation rather than extreme alpine storms.

FAQs

Is this jacket machine washable?

Yes, it can be machine washed on a delicate, cool cycle using non-biological detergent.

What does the 3000mm waterproof rating mean?

It means the fabric can withstand the pressure of 3000mm of water over 24 hours before moisture penetrates, making it suitable for moderate snow and light rain.

Does this jacket include a hood?

Yes, it comes with a detachable hood that can be removed based on the child's preference or weather conditions.

Is the jacket suitable for night skiing?

The jacket features reflective piping on the sleeves to aid visibility, which is very helpful in low-light conditions.

How do I ensure the best fit for a 9-10 year old?

The jacket is sized specifically for the 9-10 UK children's category; it is recommended to wear a base layer underneath for optimal thermal performance.

Troubleshooting

Snow entering the bottom of the jacket

Ensure the inner snowbreak is securely fastened around the waist rather than left hanging inside.

Zippers feeling stiff or sticking

Clear any lint or sand from the teeth of the zipper and run a graphite pencil tip over the teeth for natural lubrication.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To maintain the integrity of the jacket's waterproofing, follow these care guidelines:

Washing: Use a non-biological detergent and wash on a cool, delicate cycle. Avoid using fabric softeners as they can strip the waterproof coating.
Drying: Air dry the garment naturally. Avoid placing it directly on radiators or high-heat dryers, which can damage the synthetic fibers.
Maintenance: Periodically check zippers for debris to ensure they continue to slide smoothly. If the jacket loses water repellency over time, consider applying a garment-specific DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray.
