FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for long-distance running?

They are designed for light running and daily wear. While comfortable, they may lack the specialized structural support needed for high-mileage marathon training.

Can I wash the shoes in a washing machine?

It is not recommended to machine wash your adidas trainers, as the heat and agitation can damage the foam midsole and adhesives.

Are the insoles removable?

Yes, the OrthoLite sockliners are removable, allowing you to use your own custom orthotics if required.

What is the weight of the shoe?

The shoe weighs approximately 245 grams for a UK size 5.5, making it a lightweight option for daily use.

What kind of surfaces is the Adiwear outsole best for?

The Adiwear outsole is designed for hard surfaces like roads, pavements, and gym floors.

Troubleshooting

The shoe feels too tight across the top of the foot

Try a 'window lacing' technique or skip the eyelet over the pressure point to relieve tension.

The interior lining holds onto odors

Remove the OrthoLite sockliner and wash it separately with mild soap, then allow it to air dry completely.

Slipping at the heel while walking

Use a 'runner's loop' or 'heel lock' lacing method to secure the heel cup more firmly against the foot.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent comfort provided by the Cloudfoam cushioning
Lightweight construction at approximately 245g
Breathable design prevents overheating
Durable outsole suitable for pavement and gym surfaces

Cons

Not intended for technical trail running or high-intensity race training
Limited arch support compared to premium stability shoes
Style is focused more on casual versatility than specialized performance

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your trainers, start by ensuring you have the correct size. The Runfalcon 5 generally fits true to size for an adult UK 4. When lacing, ensure the tension is even across the midfoot to prevent slippage.

Care Instructions:

Wipe off surface dirt with a damp cloth after outdoor use.
Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as this can degrade the foam and glue.
If the interior gets wet, remove the OrthoLite sockliner and air dry naturally in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
Avoid exposure to high heat sources like radiators, which can warp the materials.
