Product Information

Full details

The Moncler Grenoble Hers Packable Insulated Ski Jacket is designed for adult men who prioritize versatility and performance during alpine pursuits. Crafted from resilient, light ripstop polyester, this jacket provides essential windproof and water-repellent protection while maintaining a lightweight profile. While its packable nature makes it an excellent choice for unpredictable mountain weather, users should note that as an insulated layer, it may require heavier outer shells during extreme sub-zero conditions.

FAQs

Is this jacket waterproof?

It is water-repellent, meaning it handles light rain and snow well, but it is not intended for heavy, sustained downpours.

How do I pack the jacket?

The jacket is designed to compress into its own integrated pouch; simply fold or roll the jacket tightly into the designated pocket or provided storage bag.

Can this be worn as a mid-layer?

Yes, its lightweight, insulated design makes it an excellent choice for layering under a waterproof hardshell jacket.

What size should I choose?

This model is listed as XXL, following standard adult male sizing. It is designed for an athletic, tailored fit.

Is the jacket machine washable?

Due to the technical nature of the ripstop and insulation, professional dry cleaning is highly recommended to prevent damaging the material's properties.

Troubleshooting

Outer fabric looks dull or water is soaking in instead of beading.

The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating may have worn off; consult a professional cleaner to re-apply a technical fabric treatment.

Zipper feels stiff or resistant.

Check for fabric caught in the teeth. If the zipper is clear, lightly apply a silicone-based zipper lubricant.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely lightweight and easy to pack
Durable ripstop material resists wear and tear
Provides effective wind and water protection
Sleek, minimalist aesthetic suitable for mountain and casual wear
High collar design prevents heat loss

Cons

Not intended for extreme deep-winter conditions without additional layers
Material is specialized and requires specific laundry care
Slimmer fit may limit range of motion if layered too heavily

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Moncler Grenoble jacket, follow these maintenance guidelines:

Cleaning: Use professional dry cleaning services specializing in luxury technical outerwear to preserve the water-repellent finish.
Storage: Store the jacket in a cool, dry place. While it is designed to be packable, avoid keeping it compressed in its pouch for long-term storage, as this can degrade the loft of the insulation over time.
Layering Compatibility: The XXL size is designed to fit standard male measurements; when layering, consider wearing a base layer or light fleece underneath to optimize moisture management.
