Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Break-in Period: Like most high-performance football boots, the Phantom GX II Elite FG may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or walks initially to allow the materials to mold to your foot shape.
- Lacing: Experiment with different lacing patterns to find the most secure and comfortable fit. The asymmetric lacing system allows for a larger strike zone.
Compatibility
- Surface: These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG). This means they are optimized for natural grass pitches that are firm and dry. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or soft ground (SG) may damage the boots or reduce performance and can void warranty.
- Age Group: Designed for adult players.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: After each match or training session, wipe off any mud or dirt using a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a soft brush can be used carefully.
- Drying: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the materials and cause cracking or shrinkage.
- Insole Removal: Remove the insoles after use to allow them to air out and prevent odor buildup.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using a boot bag can protect them during transport.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Never put your football boots in a washing machine or tumble dryer.
