The Tonitrui Silent Magnetic Door Catch is an ideal solution for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts looking to replace noisy, traditional ball latches with a quieter, high-strength alternative. Its primary benefit is a completely noise-free operation and superior closing force, though users should be aware that the magnetic mechanism requires precise alignment during the installation phase to function optimally.

Yes, it is designed to be a direct drop-in replacement for standard ball latches.
No, it is designed specifically to be silent by avoiding the mechanical clicks of metal balls and springs.
It is intended for interior doors; it may not provide enough force for heavy, thick exterior doors.
While the magnetic strength is fixed, you can adjust the physical position (extension/retraction) to change how the magnet engages with the strike plate.
Generally, only a standard screwdriver is required to remove the old latch and secure the new unit.
Adjust the extension length of the magnet to ensure a closer contact with the strike plate.
Verify the alignment between the door unit and the frame strike plate; ensure they are centered correctly.
Further adjust the retraction distance to pull the door tighter against the stop.
Installation of the Tonitrui catch is straightforward as it utilizes standard industry dimensions. To install, simply unscrew your existing ball latch and remove it from the door edge. Insert the Tonitrui unit into the existing recess. If the unit is not engaging correctly, use the adjustment feature to extend or retract the magnetic component until it meets the strike plate with the desired force.
Maintenance is minimal; because there are no springs or mechanical parts to lubricate, the catch remains virtually maintenance-free. Periodically wipe the magnet face with a dry cloth to ensure no metallic debris or dust prevents a flush connection.
